" Did sea define the land or land the sea?/ Each drew new meaning from the waves' collision./Sea broke on land to full identity." Seamus Heaney wrote these words in his poem "Lover on Aran". Yesterday I visited the Cliffs of Moher. It was a sight to see. When you look down it feels like the sea below is miles away. Not only could you see the waves but you could also hear them as you looked at the views! It is interesting to think about the sea. Normally when I think of the sea I think of beaches and warm weather. The cliffs were quite the opposite. it was very rocky and as the poem says it was almost difficult to see where the water ended and the shore began.
Overall this was an experience that I would never trade. The views were absolutely unbelievable. I have seen and traveled to some great places some of which being the mountains in Romania and the gorgeous landscapes of the west in the states! What they all have in common is the beautythat they share. I found myself just staring there looking at these cliffs feeling like nothing was wrong with the world. That there are no issues back at home. Really all that I could think about was how do some people not like nature. These views are possibly once in a life time views and while I was there I took all of it in around me.
